To illustrate our approach we describe a simple Printer Manager
application, where protected objects are printers. The Printer
Manager accepts requests from users to access printers and invokes the
GAA API routines to make authorization decisions, under the assumption
that the administrator of the resources has specified the local policy
regarding the use of the resources by means of EACL files. These
files are stored in an authorization database, maintained by the Printer Manager.
