hsonames

There are some special hsonames that the current Prospero server may recognize, if it has been configured appropriately. If an hsoname begins with the string AFTP/, it is interpreted as a path relative to the anonymous FTP directory on that server. If an hsoname begins with the string GOPHER(gopher-port-number), it is interpreted to refer to GOPHER data files on that host . If an hsoname begins with the string GOPHER-GW, it refers to GOPHER data files on another host. If an hsoname begins with the string ARCHIE/, it represents an Archie database query.
